Female arrested for driving while disqualified Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old female for driving while disqualified.

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old female for driving while disqualified. It is alleged that at 5:45 pm yesterday the accused was driving a car on Wellington St. E. upon being stopped by police it was discovered that she was a suspended driver. Amanda Lewis, age 34, of 141 Sutton Pl. is charged with one count of drive while disqualified. Ms. Lewis is to appear in court on May 30th at 9:00 am.

Youth arrested for theft under $5,000
Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 17-year-old male for theft. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Sears Store, in the Station Mall, selected a bottle of cologne and left the store without paying for the item. The accused was apprehended outside the store by security. The value of the cologne was $97.00. The youth is charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and is to appear in court on May 3 at 9:30 am.

Break and enter
A garage in the 100 block of Dalgleish Rd was broken into. Electronics were stolen.

An apartment in the 100 block of Clearview Dr. was entered- electronics were stolen.

A residence in the 100 block of Meadow Park Cres. was entered – it is unknown at this time what was taken.

Mischief
A vehicle parked in the 200 block of Glasgow Ave was damaged.
