The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 44 year-old male was arrested just after 3 pm yesterday at an east-end residence and charged with one count of assault with a weapon.
The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) A 44 year-old male was arrested just after 3 pm yesterday at an east-end residence and charged with one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on the date the accused attended at his girlfriend’s residence got into an argument with her and cut her hand with a knife. The victim attended at the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

2) A 43 year-old female was arrested just before 7 pm yesterday at a west-end residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 9th of February the accused assaulted her common law husband by kicking him in the leg area.

3) A 43 year-old male was arrested at the city police station yesterday morning and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and three counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 2nd of February the accused attended at his girlfriend’s residence got into an argument and damaged a number of her belongings. At the time of the incident the accused was on conditions not to communicate with her or harass her and to stay away from her residence.

4) A 19 year-old male was arrested yesterday afternoon at his downtown residence and charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference. It is alleged that between November 2006 and April 2007 the accused touched a young female on a number of occasions in an inappropriate manner. The victim was not a relative of the accused, but a young female that is known to him.

Shoplifting from Wal-Mart

35 year-old Walter Currie of 21 Herrick Street was arrested yesterday afternoon at the Wal-Mart on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that between the 19th of March and the 20th of April the accused was captured on surveillance taking several items from the store without paying for them. The merchandise was valued at approximately $2,525.00. The accused is to appear in court on the 28th of May.

There was one break and enter reported yesterday.

A residence on Boundary Road was entered between 6:45 am and 6:30 pm. Stereo equipment, perfume, a hockey bag and some jewellery were reported stolen.
