Four charged after police seize rifle, narcotics on Shannon Road (3 photos)

Estimated street value of seized narcotics is more than $15K

Police have arrested and charged four individuals after officers seized a .22 calibre rifle, suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, and Canadian currency from a Shannon Road residence on Sunday.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that the estimated street value of the seized narcotics is $15,773.

Full text of the news release follows:

On Jan. 10, 2021, officers with the Crime Suppression Unit and Emergency Services Unit arrested 43-year-old Steven Boissoneau, 34-year-old Jeannine Recollet, 26-year-old Jesse Stoddart, and 33-year-old Tianna Theriault.

As part of an ongoing investigation, officers developed grounds to believe a stolen firearm was in a residence in the 500 block of Shannon Road. At 12:28 a.m. officers executed a search warrant at the residence. Once inside, officers located the four accused and they were arrested.

A subsequent search of the residence located a .22 calibre rifle, 27.77 grams of suspected fentanyl, 18.88 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a digital scale and $3,780 of Canadian currency. The estimated street value of the narcotics seized is $15,773.

Mr. Boissoneau is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm obtained by commission of an offence, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and four counts of breach of recognizance. He was held for bail court.

Ms. Recollet is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm obtained by commission of an offence, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 22, 2021.

He was held for bail court.

Ms. Theriault is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a firearm obtained by commission of an offence, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and five counts of breach of recognizance. She was held for bail court.
