Police say on Saturday at 12:14 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving erratically in the area of North Street and Cornwall Street.

In a press release issued today, Sault Police said officers conducted a traffic stop and developed grounds to believe the driver was impaired by drugs.

According to police, the accused refused a Drug Recognition Evaluation. Upon a further search of the area, police report finding the accused to be in possession of a suspected crystal methamphetamine.

As a result, a 35-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs, refusing to comply with a demand and possession of a controlled substance.

He is scheduled to appear in court on April 12, 2021.
