A news release sent out by Sault Ste. Marie police says the following:
Around 8 p.m. significant police resources responded to a serious incident in the 0-100 block of Grace Street.
The scene has been secured and officers remain on scene.
This remains an active investigation. Further details will be released as information becomes available.

Sault Ste. Marie police and paramedics responded to a call at Elgin and Grace Streets around 8 p.m. this evening.
The intersection is currently blocked off due to an active scene.
