Drive-through masturbation report latest in string of incidents

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently investigating 3 incidents involving male suspects following and/or masturbating in front of females.

On Dec. 24, 2016 a female was walking in the 400 block of McNabb Street just after midnight. The female observed a male that she felt was following her and as such she crossed the street. The male crossed and continued to follow her. 

The male then tackled the female around the knees and she fell to the ground. The female was able to get away and the male fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 30’s with a medium build. He was clean shaven and had short light brown hair with blue eyes.  He was approximately 5’8’ tall and was wearing a dark grey hoodie with blue plaid pajama pants.

Further, on Mar. 28, 2017 officers responded to a call for service in the 700 block of Pine Street. A female in the area observed a male masturbating and at one point the male grabbed the female by the hand and attempted to put her hand on his penis.

The female fled but the male followed her and grabbed her by the buttocks before she was able to get away.

The suspect was described as a white male with brown hair and a slim build.  He was approximately 5’5” tall and was wearing a dark hoodie with the hood up, grey jogging pants that were tight around the ankles and was wearing a back pack.

On Mar. 29, 2017 officers responded to a call regarding a male who was observed going through the drive-thru of an east end restaurant while masturbating. The employee quickly left the area and did not interact with the suspect.

The suspect was described as a large white male with red hair and a red beard. He was wearing a plaid jacket and hat and may have been driving a white truck.

It is unknown at this time if the incidents are related however, officers are exploring that possibility.
