Police have responded to reports of a robbery.

A 32-year-old is facing multiple charges after an investigation by Sault Ste. Marie Police early Monday.

Someone called 911 shortly after midnight to report a suspicious person on a bicycle in the area of Campbell Avenue and Cunningham Road.

Officers followed bike tracks and footprints to track down a suspect at the intersection of Edmonds Road and McNabb Street.

Police say the suspect gave a false name, and during a search, officers found three knives, two of which open with centrifugal force, making them prohibited weapons.

Patrick Stone has been charged with obstructing a peace officer, two counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
