CRIME OF THE WEEK: Trouble trouble at Tim Hortons

A man entered the Tim Hortons at Pine and McNabb streets, argued with staff, grabbed a customer's food, then pulled out what appeared to be a firearm

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are asking for the public's help to identify a robbery suspect.

On Oct. 14 around 8:50 a.m., an unknown man entered the Tim Hortons located at 412 McNabb Street, had an argument with staff and then grabbed another customer's food before leaving the store.

When the customer confronted the man in the parking lot, the suspect produced what appeared to be a firearm. 

This incident, caught on video surveillance, triggered a large police presence near Pine and McNabb streets Saturday morning. Despite an extensive search, police were unable to locate the suspect.
