On April 8, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19-year-old Katelyn Boissoneau of Laurier Place for transportation fraud.

It is alleged that the accused obtained transportation from a local cab company and then fled the cab without paying the fare. Officers located the accused a short time later and she was taken into custody. 

It was found that the accused was also wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to attend court, breach of recognizance, assault, assault with a weapon and transportation fraud.

The accused was charged with one count of transportation fraud. She was held for bail court.
