23-year-old accused of porch-related crime

A 23-year-old has been charged with break-and-enter following an investigation by Sault Ste. Marie Police patrol services.

Around 5:20 p.m on Feb. 18, 911 communicators received a report of a break-and-enter in the 300 block of Wilson Street. Although the accused left the scene prior to officers’ arrival, they were located in the 100 block of London Street and arrested, a news release said.

Police discovered the accused had entered the front porch of a residence, stealing various items.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 15.
