SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On Dec. 7, 2018, officers with the Patrol Services Division of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 25-year-old male for assault.
It is alleged that around 3:30 a.m. the accused engaged in an argument with his girlfriend. The argument escalated and the accused assaulted the victim by pushing her to the ground repeatedly.
Police were contacted and the accused was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of assault. He was held for WASH court.

On Dec 9, 2018, officers with the Patrol Services Division of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 44-year-old woman for assault.
It is alleged that just before 6 a.m. the accused engaged in an argument with her boyfriend. The argument escalated and the accused assaulted the victim by pulling his hair, punching him and biting him.
Police were contacted and the accused was taken into custody. She has been charged with one count of assault. She was held for bail court.
