One person was arrested after a Breton Road resident found a stranger in their home early this morning.

The victim was investigating a noise and discovered the accused in their living room at approximately 2:30 a.m., says a news release from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

The accused fled the scene, but was located outside the residence a short time later by responding officers.

As a result, 21-year-old Joseph Catches stands charged with break and enter and is scheduled to appear in court on April 17.
