On Oct. 3, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 34-year-old Travis Arvelin of Albert Street East for theft.
It is alleged that the accused attended a store in the 200 block of Bay Street where he selected $140 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. Officers located the accused a short time later and he was taken into custody.
The accused has been charged with one count of theft, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of probation. Once the accused was in custody, it was found that he was also wanted for the offences of theft, breach of recognizance and breach of probation.
He was held in bail court.
