On Sept. 23, 2017, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 14-year-old male in relation to an assault.
It is alleged that on Sept. 22, the accused engaged in a verbal argument with a young person known to him. The accused took out a knife and then began to chase the victim. The victim was able to flee the area and contacted police.
The accused was located on Sept. 23 and taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon and will appear in court on Oct. 24, 2017.
