Paddling enthusiasts take advantage of break in weather Monday (8 photos)

Monday was a holiday for many and these two celebrated it on the river in kayaks

Two paddling enthusiasts struck out to take advantage of the perfect conditions on the St. Marys River on Dec. 28, 2020.

The two dressed and geared up for winter paddling conditions, went over their safety plan prior to launch. Both items are important aspects of any paddling journey; having proper gear for the season and a plan.

They launched along the shores at Bellevue Marina paddling downriver along the shoreline and enjoying the scenery from a different point of view.

Marine traffic was low at the time.

It looks like the perfect outdoor activity to burn off some of that excess holiday energy or distance during lockdown number two.
