If you've ever wanted to skate on a golf course, here's your chance (13 photos)

Crimson Ridge opened its latest winter adventure trail to skaters

Looking for an outdoor activity to try this Valentine's Day or Family Day long weekend?

Crimson Ridge's recently-opened skating trail may fit the bill.

The trail winds through the treed property around the 15th hole. It's open all week, day or night, and because it isn't lighted, the golf course recommends you pack your own illumination for post-sundown excursions.

Amenities include a seating area and a fire pit for bonfires. There's no charge for trail use and equipment is your responsibility.

On top of skating, Crimson's winter adventure offerings include fat bike and snowshoeing trails that will lead you any number of kilometers away. They are well packed and groomed, but make sure you read the tire pressure and footprint guidelines before you go.

On the grounds is the clubhouse which houses Embers Restaurant which is open Monday to Saturday 4:30-10 p.m. and Tuesday to Friday 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
