Grumman Tracker

Designed as a carrier-borne anti-submarine bomber, Conair Aviation began retrofitting the surplus bombers for fire fighting in the late 70s – this became known as the Conair Firecat. Pilots described the Tracker as flying a cement truck. Because of its short fuselage in relation to its wingspan, the Tracker’s nose is known to pitch violently when releasing a heavy load of fire retardant – it didn’t leave much time for reaction if you were flying low! The CBHC’s Grumman Tracker was donated by Conair Aviation.

PACKAGE INCLUDES:

  • Honorary ownership of the aircraft or truck for one year: July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024
  • One Year Individual Membership to the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre
  • A framed certificate of honorary ownership with a photo of the aircraft
  • Recognition of honorary ownership on display with the aircraft or truck in the museum for the year
