The John R. Rhodes Scholarship Dinner is an annual event focused on building Algoma University's most prestigious scholarship as well as honour a student recipient and a local honouree, all in the memory of John R. Rhodes impact on this community.

New this year the Algoma University Visual Arts department has created an art auction to not only celebrate the talent within our University network, but to support the Visual Arts program, a cornerstone of the local arts community. All proceeds will help grow Visual Arts programming for students at our Sault Ste. Marie campus

What happens if I win?
After the auction closes, if you have won an item, you will receive a confirmation email, which will contain pick up instructions. For any auction related questions, please email Logan at [email protected]!

All credit card charges will be from VILLAGE MEDIA or SOOTODAY.

Fulfillment of auction items is handled by the Algoma University.

For any questions related to bidding or user accounts please email [email protected]
For any questions related to auction items, please email [email protected]

Please READ THE RULES, particularly the part about credit card authorizations. In short, each time you place a bid, the system places a hold authorization for that amount on your card. When you are outbid, the hold is released. If you bid $50 on ten different items, this means $500 of your available balance will be unavailable until you're outbid. Any winning bids at the end of the auction are captured - meaning your card is charged. Buy Now items will be charged to your credit card at the time of purchase. We recommend you use a credit card, not a debit card for this auction. A released hold may take several days to reflect on your statement.
