WATCH: Province to spend $500M on new schools, child care spaces

Update:

Premier Doug Ford announced today that the provincial government will spend over $500 million to build 30 new schools.

The funding will also help make permanent additions to 15 existing facilities, and generate nearly 900 new licensed child care spaces, according to Ford.

Premier Doug Ford is slated to hold a press conference at 1 p.m. in Brampton today.

Ford will be joined by Education Minister Stephen Lecce and Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown to make the announcement.
