Five hundred twenty nine electors came to the Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre to cast their ballot on the first day of advance voting for the 2022 City of Sault Ste. Marie municipal election.
Below is the summery of today’s advance vote by ward:

| Ward 5 | 76 |
| Total: | 529 |
In 2018, 688 electors participated in day one advance vote.
Other advance vote days will take place at the Civic Centre on:
- Wednesday, Oct.12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Election day is Monday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
