Introducing the, um - we don't know, yet

Some remember the days of soaring with the Eagles or braving the fields and rinks of yesteryear in Bawating and Sir James Dunn Secondary Schools.

Or the fear in their guts as they faced off against one of those teams.

The Brave and the Eagle were something to rally behind.

They were part of an identity for the schools who chose them as mascots.

But, the Bawating Braves and the Sir James Dunn Eagles are no more.

Now that those two schools have consolidated into one, Superior Heights, we have the... um... the...

Well, we don't actually know yet.

One thing the students and staff over at Superior Heights do know is that they will need a mascot, once they figure out what it will be.

Oh, and they also know that getting such a mascot costume made will cost about $6 to $10 thousand.

Maitland Ford Lincoln is stepping up to help out yet another worthy cause with a Drive one for your school event this Saturday.

They'll have a nice herd of cars there at Superior Heights to test drive or just drool over.

For every test drive taken, the folks at Maitland Ford Lincoln will be donating $20 to the mascot fund.

If 300 test drives are done, $6000 dollars will be raised.

Even thought the test drives are free, don't leave your wallet at home because Superior Heights Student Council will be hosting a barbecue and bake sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a free draw for three $100 Young Driver gift certificates.

Maitland Ford Lincoln will have some fine vehicles at the school to test drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 29.
