Here's what they said about Paesano’s Prepared Foods at Wednesday's award presentation:

******************* We are pleased to announce that this year’s Marketing Award goes to Paesano’s Prepared Foods.

It all started with Rico’s Meats.

Enrico Palarchio started the first of many enterprises in 1965 with his first meat and deli shop, now known as Paesano’s Foods!

Over the years, Enrico and his son’s Eugene and Fiore expanded the business from an old-fashioned meat market to an exciting prepared foods location.

Beginning with Chef Fiore’s Dinner for Two, the selection has grown to include delicious frozen entrees and specially seasoned and marinated meats ready-for-the-oven, as well as a large selection of cold deli, hard-to-find gourmet cheeses and specialty groceries.

Marketing plays a very important role in the business’ success.

While undertaking a range of unique and personalized advertising, Paesano’s creative re-working of popular songs has helped make the business a house-hold name.

Recognizing the close ties present in a community the size of Sault Ste. Marie, Paesano’s also maintains active involvement in community activities and supports several community charities, including, Bon Soo, the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie and the Sault Area Hospital just to name a few.

Congratulations again to this year’s Marketing Award winner, Paesano’s Prepared Foods!
