City hosts public meeting to update residents on the Grotto project

SAULT STE. MARIE - A public information meeting to report on the progress of the Grotto at Sault Ste. Marie project will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the Civic Centre Council Chambers at 99 Foster Drive.

In September 2010, City Council approved the use of a portion of Prince Island at Bellevue Park as a site to construct a historic-religious grotto, subject to appropriate agreements.

The June 16 meeting, to be chaired by Councillor Steve Butland, will include a presentation by Frank Sarlo on behalf of the Grotto at Sault Ste. Marie charitable corporation.

The general public is encouraged to attend.
