**************************************************************** Company Profile

We salute Canadian Tire!

Canadian Tire first opened its doors on Queen Street in 1938.

In 1974 a move was made to their current location at the corner of Great Northern and McNabb Streets.

More than 75 years ago when this all began, who would have thought or dreamed even how big this venture would grow, eventually becoming the country's largest hardware retailers.

Sault Ste. Marie Canadian Tire Associate dealer Matt Lawless was selected in October 2002 from among more than 400 dealers to receive the Canadian Tire's national award of Excellence.

With a team of over 200 employees, many of them long time employees, they model that customer service is not a slogan but rather a team of employees helping customers get what they want and need.

Locally, the Canadian Tire store offers a retail space of over 38,000 square feet.

Some of the store features include wider isles, brighter appearance, merchandising displays, display counters that are uniform with the floor plan, all facing the same way making it easier for shoppers to get around and find things.

Over the course of many years, expansions, many changes and the many ownership's through it all, their motto "Total Customer Satisfaction", was the basis of all the decisions and policy making for the company.

The Canadian Tire team values passion and commitment and practice what they preach by taking excellent care of their customers.

All staff are always developing ways to enhance the customer service area.

One such improvement was increasing the customer service area and moving it to the front of the store for easy access.

There will always be changes and changes for the better, at Canadian Tire, and they will always be made with the most important aspect of Canadian Tire in mind... the customer. Congratulations to Canadian Tire!
