Saultite dies in Northwest Territories

William Bleach, a former Saultite and graduate of Sault College's aviation-flight technology program has died after he was struck by a small plane at an airfield in the Northwest Territories.

Bleach, 26, was filming from the ground with a video camera in Fort Good Hope when he was struck by the right wing of a single-engine Cessna 207.

The accident occurred on Thursday night.

The Cessna was owned by North Wright Airways.

It was flying at low altitude for filming purposes.

Bleach was taken to a hospital in Edmonton, where he died from head injuries.

He had been living in the Northwest Territories.
