At least four Boy Scouts attending a camp in remote western Iowa have died as the result of a tornado strike this evening.

According to CNN, 20 other Scouts are being treated for injuries - many of them serious - sustained when the twister struck the Little Sioux Scout Ranch located between Omaha and Sioux City.

Preliminary reports indicate that 34 tornadoes may have touched down today in four Midwest states.

A CNN weather expert adds that if current trends continue, 2008 will set a record for tornado activity in the United States.
