Weekend Weather Outlook: Enjoy the heat while it's here

With warmer than normal temperatures over the last week, most of the snow around the region has melted. Considering the colder than normal winter that just ended, it may seem that April is finally brining more normal spring weather.

Considering the colder than normal winter that just ended, it may seem that April is finally brining more normal spring weather.

It might surprise you to learn that when you add up the first couple weeks of April’s weather, that this month is also below normal values.

The weekend ahead will continue the warm stretch of weather but colder air (and snow?) is on the way.

Friday will see sunshine prevail through the day, with daytime highs in the low teens.

Winds will be light and variable with overnight lows dropping back towards the freezing mark.

Saturday continues with the sunny weather and warmer than normal temperatures.

Winds will be a little more prevalent from the north.

Conditions will be very dry and the risk of grass fires will be high.

Sunday brings clouds into the region through the day.

This cloud cover will drop temperatures a little bit.

Rain moves in Sunday evening and into Monday, followed by much colder air and flurries next week.
