More charges laid in home invasion

Earlier Release from March 14: 

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Investigations Unit have arrested two persons in relation to a home invasion that occurred on the 14th of March at a St. Andrew’s Terrace residence. 

It is alleged that during the incident, the homeowner was sprayed in the face with bear mace and the two forced their way inside.

A laptop, a lock box and a purse were stolen from the home and the victim received non-life threatening injuries. 

As a result of the investigation, Brent Simpson, age 40, of 282 Spadina Avenue was charged with one count of break and enter, one count of disguise with intent and one count of administering a noxious thing with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm. 

He is to appear in bail court this morning. 

The second accused, Cindy Morissette, age 33, of 802 Bonney Street was charged with one count of break and enter. 

She is to appear in court on the 14th of May.

Further Arrests:

Detectives with Investigation Services have arrested two further persons in relation to this home invasion. 

Crystal Dawn Simpson, of no fixed address and 45 year-old William Derek Kingston, of no fixed address, were arrested on the weekend. 

William Kingston has been charged with one count of break and enter, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of disguise with intent and one count of administering a noxious thing with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm. 

Crystal Simpson was charged with one count of break and enter, one count of disguise with intent and one count of administering a noxious thing with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm. 

Both are to appear in bail court this morning. 

A male will be appearing in bail court charged with mischief in relation to a domestic incident.
