Since 1994, the Irish dance troupe Riverdance has toured the world presenting its narrative of Ireland's lore and culture through traditional music and dance.

Last night, approximately 2,000 audience members savored one final performance as Riverdance made a stop in the Sault during its extensive farewell tour.

Principal dancers Jason O'Neill and Caterina Coyne lead the cast and audience through Irish history from creation to North American immigration, highlighting characters of Celtic lore, including Cú Chulainn and Buile Shuibhne.

Upcoming Essar Centre performances include Johnny Reid on April 30, Bryan Adams on May 8, Cirque du Soleil's Quidam May 10 through 13, and Mamma Mia! on July 26.
