The Sault's newest java joint, Frida Cafe and Art, opened it's doors this morning at 7:30 a.m.

Inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and located at 128 March Street, the cafe is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To celebrate its momentous opening, Frida is giving away free coffee today, your choice of Frida's French roast or St. Joseph Island Mexican oaxaca, and offering cappuccino and cafe latte for just $1.

Beginning this Friday, the new cafe will also offer a variety of baking, crepes, soups, salads, and an array of Mexican foods to go with your cup of joe.

And according to the cafe's Facebook page, "the best salsa in town" will be made available for take-out.
