Sault Ste. Marie's first Festival of Beer arrives April 21

Features more than 40 different beers from across Ontario

SAULT STE. MARIE  (March 26, 2012) - Sault Ste. Marie welcomes its first ever Festival of Beer on April 21 at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Featuring more than 40 different beers from several Ontario craft and micro breweries, including Mill St., Railway City, Flying Monkeys, Hop City, Wellington, King, Beau's, Black Oak, Lake of Bays, Broadhead and Nickel Brook, the Festival of Beer will also host popular national brands such as Labatt, Steam Whistle and Molson Coors.

A variety of food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available, and local entertainment is scheduled throughout the event.

Based on Toronto's Beer Festival, the Sault Ste. Marie Festival of Beer strives to expand the public's beer appreciation while celebrating quality, craftsmanship and a uniquely Canadian cultural experience.

Working closely with, and receiving invaluable advice from Toronto Beer Festival organizers, the Sault Ste. Marie Festival of Beer hopes to make this tasty celebration an annual event.

Tickets are $25 each and include a Festival of Beer glass, five beer sample tokens and entry into the event.

Advance tickets are available now at the Steamy Bean (357 Great Northern Rd), Tamarack (Churchill Plaza) and Dish Espresso Bar (740 Queen St E).

You must be 19 or older to attend.

Please drink responsibly - have a designated driver.
