But what else would you expect walking into an All-You-Can-Eat Chicken Wing event hosted by the Sault College Public Relations and Event Management program.

[Pictured from left to right] Students Danielle Fleming, Nicole Boniferro, and program instructors Jasmyn Pozzo, and Jim Cronin posing with some fiery hot wings.

Please note: Photos of people actually eating wings were not included in this story because, well, face it; no one looks good eating saucy chicken wings.

“This event was organized, planned, and executed by our [P.R. and Event Management] class from start to finish,” said student Maegan Brennan. “We broke into teams to cover different elements of the event to showcase and highlight our new skills.”

“It’s a Wing Thing” acted as not only a stage to showcase this new college program but also a fundraiser for the Lung Association.

“We have 100% of proceeds going to the Lung Association,” said Giordan Zin a student and marketing and communication team member. Zin continued, “We are so proud to be able to work hand-in-hand with the Lung Association and their Special Events teams and we’ve learned a lot from this partnership.”

With the full classes commitment, a $20 ticket cost, and several raffles; they were able to raise $3,790.00 for the Lung Association.

“The Sault College Public Relations and Event Management program is the only hybrid program of its kind in Ontario. It provides the essential skills of two important and cohesive fields and provides a 360 view of the industry,” said Zin.

It’s a Wing Thing was sponsored by Sault College, the Lung Association, Arthur Funeral Home, the Medical Shoppe Pharmacy, Dundee Wealth, Winmar SSM, Shoppers, Sweet Designs, and Cliffe Printing Inc.
