NEWS RELEASE

BRETT DAVIE

****************************
Davie returns from Nationals

Brett Davie travelled to Val Cartier Quebec this past week to compete in the Canadian Biathlon Championships.

Brett did not have the results he was hoping for but still managed to post a 13th,11th, and 8th place finishes, and remains the top youth man in Ontario.

He also finishes the year in third place for points in the IBU (international biathlon union) circuit for Canada just five points back from first.

Brett has had a very successful year and has caught the eye of the coaches at the Biathlon Academy in Alberta.

Brett is looking to train with coaches from the Czech Republic and Sweden in Canmore starting this June after he graduates from Superior Heights.

This academy is for athletes who have the potential to make it into the world cup circuit and the Olympic team.

Brett’s friends and family will be putting on a benefit for him in the near future to help him with the cost, so please watch for further updates regarding this.

Any sponsors that could help Brett reach his Olympic dream my contact him at brett.davie@shaw.ca

Once again, he would like to thank his current sponsors: Marty’s Promise, KMPG, Legion Band BR 25, Royal Tire, Lake Superior Physio, and B & R Auto.
