Special Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Jane was known as “Noni” to many, not just her family but to her extended friends and their children.

Jane was known as the little lady with much love and admiration for her family and friends.

She was a forerunner in the business world when women were not readily acknowledged.

Jane and Harvey Sr. had great foresight when they purchased the inactive Root River Golf Club in 1944.

Her career as a courageous businesswoman began then and continued after Harvey Sr. passed away in 1960.

With a liquor licence in hand, Jane, with the help of Perry Short and Carlo Barban, built the existing clubhouse in 1965.

Along with her sister Dorothy Kucher, a reputation for fine food was established and continues to exist today.

Jane put in many 14-hour days until she retired when faced her battle with cancer in 1993.

Jane was an avid curler and golfer in her younger years and loved to visit her friends and the kind staff at our local casino every Tuesday and Friday in her later years.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road  705-945-7758) on Sunday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella Church on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Francis Ezenezi officiating.

Memorial donations to ARCH or Breton House would be appreciated by the family.
