Merry Christmas from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan!

This will be my second Christmas season spent away from my family and friends in the Sault.

I have been out west teaching and coaching in Saskatchewan for the past five years.

I am currently teaching special education in an elementary school.

This fall my girls’ volleyball team won city championships for the second time in three years.

I finally bought my first house this past year in Moose Jaw, and am loving being able to put down some new roots.

Though so far away, I have managed to find some of my favourite things from the Sault in Moose Jaw, such as homemade gelato and CHL hockey games with the Moose Jaw Warriors.

I am also participating in the women’s basketball league, community choir, slo-pitch league, and will be gearing up for another season of training for the Queen City Marathon in Regina (this will be my second time running it).

Though I am no longer able to travel home during the holiday season, I always look forward to my next visit home so I can see all my friends and family.

I want to send all my love to my parents, Jan and Phil Miller, who despite the distance send the best Christmas parcels ever!

I also want to send my love to my brother Jonathan and his new fiancé Angela, and my sister Sarah.

Also a big hello and hugs for everyone at St. Andrews United Church, I always have you with me in my thoughts and prayers.

Merry Christmas as well to all my friends who still live in the Sault!

I miss you all and wish the distance wasn’t so great.

I look forward to our next visit when I am home for my brother’s wedding next summer.

I also want to thank SooToday for allowing us who are so far away to send our Christmas greetings to our family and friends in the Sault!

Merry Christmas from Heather and Aiden!
