The Lewis Wheelan Family Trust reported Saturday night that more than $25,000 was raised at Friday night's fundraiser in Sault Ste. Marie.

Attendance exceeded 680, but organizer Ken Audziss said that 1,200 tickets were sold for the event at Memorial Gardens.

Future fundraisers are planned for Thunder Bay, Toronto, and Kitchener-Waterloo.

Contributions can be made directly through the Lewis Wheelan Family Trust website.
