The April 26 event takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the McMeekin Centre.

Newly formed family trust

Ken Audziss, a student from Thunder Bay who's been in the Soo since Sunday to prepare for the fundraiser, told SooToday.com that apart from expenses, no one involved in the newly formed Lewis Wheelan Family Trust is being paid for their efforts.

Prospective volunteers filled the home of Wheelan's parents for an organizational meeting on Sunday night, Audziss said, and many others have indicated a willingness to help with the April 26 event. The event will feature a fashion show with local models from L'Image Model Management and a video presentation with messages to Wheelan from his family and friends.

Particpants will also be able to leave their own messages at a Speaker's Corner.
