Getting a head start on a college fund thanks to ARCH 50/50 win

Algoma Community Residential Hospice (ARCH) is excited to announce that July’s ARCH 50/50 jackpot of $24,450 has been won by Carolyn Gagne, with ticket number A-6603602.

Carolyn, a local chiropractor (and an amazing Women’s Hockey League goaltender) and T. Joe, an employee with Ontario Aboriginal Housing, were pleased to share that they will be putting away their winnings to support their children’s transitions to university in the next few years. Carolyn expressed, “I have only just recently finished paying off my own student loans, so we are grateful to now have the opportunity to give our kids a good head start with that!”

Carolyn was scrolling on her phone one night a few weeks ago, when she noticed someone had shared ARCH’s 50/50 social media post, so she clicked on the link and purchased right then and there! She said, “It was such an easy thing to do and we always support ARCH this way, I’m definitely pleased I didn’t miss out on last month’s draw!"

“One of the best days for ARCH is when we can give back to those who support our residents and families; today was a great day!” reported Christianne Monico, ARCH’s Executive Director. Monico went on to share that proceeds from the draw go directly towards care and support of the families ARCH serves and the next resident care items in the queue for purchase will make living at ARCH much more comfortable.

The winner’s jackpot has a guaranteed minimum of $9,999 and early bird ticket-holders will have a chance at winning an additional $1,000 (if purchased prior to the second Wednesdat of each month).
