As SooToday first reported earlier this afternoon, the local YMCA is shutting down all programs and putting the building up for sale.

Pending a last-minute miracle, the announcement marks the end of the YMCA in Sault Ste. Marie after 125 years in the community.

SooToday videographer Drew Armstrong spent some time today outside the Y, speaking to members about the shocking news.
