VIDEO: A night of burlesque in downtown Sault Ste. Marie

Organized by Sault Noir, dancers hit the stage earlier this month at Loplops

Brendan Garlick made headlines earlier this year with his new pesticide business, as well as coordinating the third instalment of the Lopstock concert series. Established this year, Sault Noir is the latest venture from this local entrepreneur.

Hosted at Loplops earlier this month, performers were welcomed to the stage by a full house of nearly 100 attendees ranging in age from 19 to 50-plus.

"I got sick of hearing people say there's nothing to do in the Sault," said Garlick. "I think there's a lot we could do in our community, it just takes that one person to have an idea, to put all their cards on the table. Once you've done that you find there's a lot of experienced people out there to offer support. You just have to take that first step".
