This summer, the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is thrilled to announce its lineup of seven exhilarating summer camps, each week offering a unique adventure that combines fun with educational experiences. From July 8 through Aug. 30, children will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in themes ranging from the marvels of aviation and the mysteries of space to the importance of eco-consciousness and the excitement of performance arts.

Week One: All about Planes! - Kicking off on July 8, children dive into the world of aviation, learning the science behind flight with engaging activities like plane building sessions and getting their first pilot "rating".

Week Two: Lost in Space - Starting July 15, campers embark on an intergalactic journey, building space rockets and meeting extraterrestrial friends while learning about the cosmos.

Week Three: Bugs and Invasive Species - On July 22, the focus shifts to our planet, as campers get up close with insects and learn about their impact on our ecosystems and the battle against invasive species.

Week Four: Bushplane Olympics - July 29 brings the spirit of competition and teamwork with obstacle courses and Olympic-themed crafts, inspired by the values of the Olympic Games.

Week Five: The Bushplane Show! - Aug. 12 marks a week of creativity and expression, as campers engage in theatrical performances, songwriting, and choreography, showcasing their artistic talents.

Week Six: Forest Fire Prevention - Starting Aug. 19, the importance of forest fire prevention is highlighted through interactive sessions with firefighters, water play, and learning the essentials of fire safety.

Week Seven: Reasons for Hope - The final camp, beginning on Aug. 26, embarks on an eco-adventure inspired by Jane Goodall's pillars of hope, focusing on community, environmental protection, and animal conservation.

Each camp is designed to inspire curiosity, foster learning, and encourage environmental stewardship through interactive activities, crafts, and guest speakers. The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre is proud to offer these experiences, inviting young minds to explore their passions and discover the world in new and exciting ways.
