Through six draws, Jacobs is a perfect 6-0 after two more wins on Friday.

Jacobs opened the day with a 9-3 win over Ben Mikkelsen (Fort William Curling Club) in eight ends.

Jacobs took a 2-0 lead in the opening end before adding steals in the second and third ends to take a 4-0 lead. Mikkelson would make things close before Jacobs scored four in the eighth end to seal the victory.

Jacobs wrapped up the day with a 6-4 win over Al Hackner (Fort William Curling Club). After falling behind 5-2, Hackner made things close by scoring a single in the eighth end and stealing one in the ninth before Jacobs scored one in the tenth end to seal the win.

The other representative from Soo Curlers, Chris Glibota, was also in action for a pair of games on Friday.

Glibota picked up his first win of the tournament in the fifth draw with a 6-5 win over Bryan Burgess (Kakabeka Falls Curling Club) in an extra end. Glibota needed a pair in the tenth end to tie the game before stealing one in the extra end to win.

In draw six, Glibota dropped a 6-5 decision to Jeff Currie (Fort William Curling Club). Trailing 5-4, Currie scored a pair in the tenth end to pick up the win.

In draw seven on Saturday morning, Jacobs faces Dylan Johnston (Fort William Curling Club) while Glibota faces Mike Jakubo (Sudbury Curling Club). Draw seven is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. eastern time (9:30 a.m. in Kenora).

The semi-final is scheduled for Saturday night with the championship set for Sunday afternoon.
