The Soo Thunderbirds winning streak continued on Saturday night with another road victory.

The Thunderbirds picked up a 7-2 win over the Blind River Beavers to win their eleventh-straight game in Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League action in Blind River.

Joey Ogden led the way offensively for the Thunderbirds with a goal and two assists while Nicolas Tassone scored a pair of goals in the win. Jaren Bellini and Matt Caruso had a goal and an assist while Soo Greyhounds prospect Boris Katchouk set up a pair of goals.

Saturday’s win was Katchouk’s second game with the Thunderbirds as he returns to the ice following off-season surgery.

Anthony Miller and Caleb Boman also scored for the Thunderbirds in Saturday’s win while goaltender Brian Kment stopped 20 shots.

Nathan Hans and Jared Binguis scored for Blind River in the loss.

The win improves the Thunderbirds record to 13-2-0-0.

Next action for the Thunderbirds is Nov. 1 in Blind River against the Beavers.
