The Ontario Hockey League saw three more teams advance though to the second round of the playoffs with wins on Friday night. One game also marked the end of an era.

In Brampton, Evan deHaan scored at 6:23 of overtime to give the Sudbury Wolves a series-clinching 1-0 win over the Brampton Battalion. The game not only marks the end of the season for the Battalion, but their tenure in Brampton as well. The team is moving to North Bay beginning next season. Goaltender Franky Palazzese stopped 35 shots for the shutout. Jake Smith got the start for Brampton and stopped 21 shots in the loss.

In Kitchener, Tobias Rieder had a goal and three assists as the Kitchener Rangers beat the Guelph Storm 4-2. The win gives the Rangers a 4-1 series win over the Storm. Josh Leivo added a goal and two assists for the Rangers in the win. John Gibson stopped 35 shots. Radek Faksa and Max Iafrate also scored in the win. Garret Sparks stopped 38 shots for the Storm. Brock McGinn scored both goals.

In Oshawa, Bradley Latour’s second-period goal held up as the winner as the Oshawa Generals beat the Niagara IceDogs 3-2. The win caps off a 4-1 series win as well for the Generals. Boone Jenner scored a pair of goals for Oshawa in the win. Ryan Strome and Carter Verhaeghe scored for Niagara in the loss.

In Owen Sound, Gemel Smith had two goals and two assists as the Owen Sound Attack beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-3. With the win, the Attack now lead the Western Conference quarter-final series 3-2. Daniel Catenacci had a pair of goals in the win. Defenceman Cody Ceci added two assists. Gilbert Gabor had the other goal for Owen Sound. Sergey Tolchinsky had a goal and an assist for the Greyhounds in the loss. Michael Schumacher and Ryan Sproul also scored. Nick Cousins had three assists in the loss.

Saturday's lone game sees Belleville host Mississauga.
