Not in the Christmas spirit? This should help (25 photos)

If a visit to the Delta Hotel this weekend doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit, then nothing will. It's playing host to this year's Algoma Lung Association annual Festival of Trees which officially launched last evening.

If a visit to the Delta Hotel this weekend doesn't put you in the Christmas spirit, then nothing will.

It's playing host to this year's Algoma Lung Association annual Festival of Trees which officially launched last evening.

Special Events Coordinator Lua Turcotte was happy to report that the event continues to grow each year, and this 13th annual festival features 50 Christmas trees donated and decorated by area businesses, schools, individuals, sports teams and organizations.

In addition to the glorious trees, a variety of other items are available to be won by either silent auction bid or raffle, including two tickets to the upcoming Gordon Lightfoot concert on December 5, an eight-hour guided fishing excursion for two on the St. Marys River, an autographed 11x14 photograph of Gordie Howe, and two tickets to the Washington Capitals vs Ottawa Senators game in Ottawa on February 22.

The Festival of Trees continues today until 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Be sure to bring the kids.

Santa Claus will be on hand for photos and they'll enjoy making Christmas crafts to decorate the home tree with.

And the special kids-only secret shop allows children to do their own Christmas shopping for mom and dad.
