Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre’s newest tenant provides customized product

(November, 2011) - The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre announced today that Northern Lights Laser Multimedia Studio has joined the organization’s business incubator. Northern Lights, a laser multimedia production studio unique to Northern Ontario, creates customized laser shows using both graphic design and modern technology.

Coupling 2D animation with customized software developed in-house, Northern Lights produces a graphic or Beam show while utilizing a state of the art high-powered laser projector.

The company markets itself as a high-impact advertising medium by designing laser-projected ads, logos, themes and animations for businesses at events or special occasions. The company’s laserist, a recent graduate from Sault College’s graphic design program, can incorporate music or added special effects to either the graphic or beam laser shows.

The Northern Lights team is led by owner and operator Mike Poirier. Says Poirier: “We selected the Sault Ste Marie Innovation Centre Business Incubator for many reasons.
