Soo Greyhounds Head Coach Mike Stapleton announced [Monday] afternoon that overage forward Carson Dubchak will captain the Hounds through their 40th anniversary season.

The Kenora, ON product is currently in his fourth season with the team.

"I have had the privilege over three seasons to watch Carson grow Into a mature, responsible leader both on and off the ice" stated Stapleton. "He Is the type of player that is highly regarded by his coaches, teammates and staff for his work ethic and commitment to the Soo Greyhounds."

Dubchak, who recently returned to the team's lineup following emergency appendectomy, has held one of the assistant captain roles through the opening 16 games of the regular season.
