************************ New website streamlines foster parenting options In celebration of Canadian Foster Family Week (October 16 – 22), Algoma Family Services, Nog Da Win Da Min Family and Community Services, Community Living Algoma and the Children’s Aid Society of Algoma are excited to announce the development of a new website -- www.fosteringinalgoma.com -- designed to streamline foster parenting options in our community!

“fosteringinalgoma.com was developed to provide our community with a easy, effective way to see the various foster care options available in our community,” says Tracy Rushon, recruitment coordinator for the Children’s Aid Society.

“Community members can access the website to see the program descriptions of all four agencies, as well as view information about the application process and see what is involved in foster parenting.”

In addition to providing information, the website will showcase artwork [example shown] created by children in care, an expression of why their foster families are important to them. During Foster Family Week, watch for tables promoting the website at the Station Mall as well as community centers around the city.

Community members are encouraged to pick-up a flyer with the website address and visit here to learn more about foster parenting. *************************
