On the 11th of October officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Technological Crime Unit and Patrol Services executed a search warrant at 626 Queen Street West (basement apt.) in relation to a child pornography investigation.
A laptop computer was seized and a number of child pornography files were identified.
As a result of the investigation conducted by the Technological Crime Unit that commenced on the 6th of July, 2011, officers arrested 24 year-old Matthew Thibodeau of that address and charged him with three counts of possession of child pornography.
He is to appear in bail court this morning.
