SooToday.com received the following note today from faithful reader Beverley Bosma about a random act of kindness she experienced this past weekend at our local Walmart store.

*************************** Hello.

My name is Beverley Bosma and I have a story of kindness from a complete stranger at the local Walmart store.

On Sunday, October 9, I was at the Walmart store to get my glasses fixed and pick up a few groceries.

I met a lady in the bread section of the store who asked for help in locating dinner rolls.

I tried my best to help her make her selection.

After we checked out and were waiting for a third party member to rejoin us, this same lady approached my son (age three) and myself and began asking questions like: Do we have a DVD player? and Do we like movies? etc.

My son of course was answering "YES" to all of the above.

After a few minutes of conversation, this lady reached into one of her bags and handed my son a DVD of Milo and Otis.

I tried to ask her if she was sure she just wanted to randomly give away a DVD she just bought, but she walked away while wishing us a happy Thanksgiving.

I do not know who this person was but I wish to thank them for their kindness and generosity.

They certainly made my son's day and he has repeatedly watched the DVD since that day.

It is really nice to know that kindness and generosity are still alive in our city, and I will definitely be paying this act of kindness forward in the future!

Sincerely,

Beverley Bosma
